60 years of diplomatic relations between Poland and Cyprus

60 years of diplomatic relations between Poland and Cyprus

2021 marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Poland and Cyprus.

Poland was one of the first countries to recognize the Republic of Cyprus after independence in 1960. The necessary diplomatic agreements were concluded in early 1961, when both our countries were ready to establish official relations. It was agreed that this solemn decision would enter into force as soon as the relevant information was published in the main newspapers of both countries. It happened exactly 60 years ago - on January 15, 1961.

As part of the celebration of this important anniversary, a special brochure was published presenting the 60-year history of cooperation between the two countries, to which the activities of our project contributed.

The booklet is available here

You can read about the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Poland and Cyprus on the website of the Polish Embassy in Nicosia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus Polish Embassy in Nicosia, and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus.
